Structural Framework Builder

The Structural Framework Builder includes a patented, competitive and unique technology which facilitates the construction of precise and accurate structural models either in simple or complex geological context.

Acknowledged as the industry's leading 3D structural modeling tool, the workflow guides the user through the modeling of faults, fault networks and horizons, enabling perfect fit to the input data. The workflow is designed to lead the novice user and help the experienced user. At each step of the workflow, users remain free to perform quality control on proposed solutions. The workflow is repeatable and auto-reported through html format.

For better description of reservoir geometry and overall geology, the Structural Framework Builder provides true 3D description of the reservoir model, including the overburden, to facilitate further velocity modeling or drilling process. Full integration of seismic, petrophysics and geology data allows information sharing across the functional organization.

The Structural Framework Builder has the unique capability to model multi-z value surfaces, easily handling salt domes, salt bags, overhang horizons and complex fault networks. Consistent fault-to-fault and fault-to-horizon contacts are computed automatically and can be easily and quickly edited.

Modeling and editing facilities include:

  • Semi-automatic detection of fault hierarchies.
  • Automatic fault and horizon modeling
  • Automatic horizon / fault contact detection.
  • Visualization and editing of contacts.
