Drilling costs are extremely high and planning is a complex process. With the Drilling Planner Module, 3D well trajectories of planned wells can be viewed alongside existing wells in conjunction with drilling targets. This helps mitigate risk and minimize cost by providing a quick assessment of drilling hazards. |
How |
Targets are located along with their uncertainties using the preceding set of modules. The Drilling Planner Module develops optimum trajectories to accommodate all targets while minimizing cost. Calculations honor anti-collision and minimum curvature constraints. Geological hazards are avoided by locally editing well control points. Optimum trajectories are recalculated instantaneously. Information about the shared-earth model is displayed on the well trajectory for risk analysis. |
