Interpretation Workflow:
The workflow includes seismic attributes calculations, horizon autopicker, new noise reduction algorithm, and seismic facies analysis.
Large Data Manipulation:
Bricked seismic volumes enable unprecedented interpretation and visualization of large seismic volumes (>2GB) even on a laptop. Visualization and interpretation can be performed on these large volumes with a minimum performance penalty. Maximum performance can be reached with our 64-bit solution on Linux or Unix (and soon on Windows.)
Advanced Data Visualization in a Structural Modeling Framework:
To enhance and speed the interpretation process, the volume can be subdivided into arbitrary sub-volumes. Probes can be created and moved smoothly across the entire seismic volume. This allows geological features to appear more rapidly to the interpreter. Interpretation can limited to a probe, 2D interpretation can be done on a fence in 3D or in a 2D panel.
Arbitrary Slicer:
This novel interpretation tool is unique to the Earth Decision Suite. The Arbitrary Slicer provides the unique functionality to adjust the orientation of a seismic slice so that it faces the camera. This technique used in video games is applied here to improve interpretation ergonomics and quality. The user naturally adjusts the slice orientation while continuously looking and interpreting the seismic event.
Geotracking Mode:
In this visualization technique, the viewpoint or the user eye position, is guided by a geologic object. The viewing position can be set to follow a well, channel or mine gallery while slicing or viewing other information while continuously looking at the seismic event. Seismic picks are done when the event is best seen not at a given line or CDP.
Data Analysis And Attributes Co-rendering:
Co-rendering attributes volumes allow rapid identification of attributes combinations that effectively delineate seismic features. Up to 8 attributes can be rendered simultaneously using different colormaps. For the first time in our industry, volumes of more than 10GB have been loaded and co-rendered inside our Volume Interpretation tool. You can now edit and build your own colormap, display attributes using color, opacity and/or intensity, and blend attributes colormaps to highlight seismic features.
Faults, Horizons And Geobodies Interpretation:
Horizons and faults auto-tracking can be performed on probes or arbitrary slices. Geobodies extraction is based on multiple attributes selection criteria.
